Shompole is located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, near Kenya’s border with Tanzania - south of Lake Magadi and north of Lake Natron, The property sits on a 35,000-acre conservancy, surrounded by the Shompole Group Ranch, creating a large area for wildlife to roam freely. Though desgned for those who would like to relax in beautiful environment, Shompole offers guests the chance to enjoy flora and fauna on foot with an expert guide. Day game drives offer sightings of lion, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, eland, cheetah and elephant amongst other plain game while night game drives present an opportunity to see rarer nocturnals such as aadrdwolf, bat-eared fox, seval cat, genet and honey-bagder. Other activites are also offerred. The Masai of the Shompole Group Ranch are partners in the project so a percentage of the profits directly benefit the community. Main Shompole Lodge is an eight-room luxury lodge with a truly unique design. The lodge has an organic aesthetic that fits in seamlessly with the surrounding countryside. Each tented room features a cool-pool, informal sitting areas, bathroom with a view, large windows, and a canopied roof. The main lounge and dining area overlook Mount Shompole and the Rift Valley. Little Shompole consists of 2 vast private suites, located within a few minutes walk of the main Shompole Lodge but positioned for utmost privacy and exclusivity. Each suite boasts its own lounge area, cool-pool and spacious deck. Both rooms share a private mess and a stunning horizon pool that overlooks Lake Natron basin and the volcanic slopes of northern Tanzania. Guests at Little Shompole enjoy a dedicated team of staff, private guide and butler service. Shompole House - the latest addition to the Shompole collection, the house caters for 4 people in 2 large en suite tents (each tent strategically located for privacy). The house offers spectacular views, a relaxed atmosphere, private dining, take part in any of the game viewing activities or simply relax and plunge into your private swimming pool.
