Fundu Lagoon
Lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and bathed in tropical African sunshine, Fundu Lagoon is set on a remote and beautiful beach on a peninsula in the south west of Pemba Island (which together with the more habited and visited Ugunja Island form what are known as Zanzibar Islands). There are 6 tented rooms and suites, all en-suite, spacious and private, with breath-taking ocean views. The waters around Pemba are among the richest and most exciting for diving in world. Walls of pristine coral stretch endlessly and are home to a vast range of marine life. Various dive s are offered, including beginners, open-water, advance open water, rescue diver and dive master. Fundu is a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Resort with its own fully equipped dive facility as well as a range of water sports including snorkeling, water-skiing and dhow sailing. At Fundu, the open-sided restaurant offers international cuisine while an infinity swimming poll appears to merge into the ocean. The hotel’s spa uses Fundu's own range of blended infusions to capture the unique magic of the island while a peaceful yoga platform overlooking the ocean.
